President’s Message

Dear Garden Club Friends,
 
I would like to thank you for making me your next president. I promise not to raise taxes!! Ha Ha - made you smile.
 
Sharon was a wonderful president for the last two years and she will be a hard act to follow.  I will try my best to be here for the Moringa girls! Your board, Maureen, Liz, and Karen, and I are looking forward to making this a great year.
 
Maureen has planned many exciting programs.  Our only fundraiser - the Green and White Auction/Sale will be held on November 5, 2011.  Holding it on a Saturday evening and closer to the holidays will give a greater chance of having more participation Start saving your good "goods" now and your special plants to donate.  Most importantly, bring friends!
 
Our goal this year is to increase membership.  Jan Bullard is our new membership chair and will do her best to bring us new members.  But, we all have to help with this. We have not had new members is several years and losing three active members this year really affects our club. Sorry for the double duties assigned but there were not enough members to get by with just one assignment. So, please bring that special person to our first meeting is September.  Remember, they must have attended two meetings before we can vote them in as a new member.
 
Our friends are the flowers in the garden of life. And I am so glad you are the friends!
